Baffled
Bookies still fancy Everton, Palace, Soton and Swansea over us to win premier league without 'Big' 6 (10/1 with PP).
And nearly all bookies fancy us to go down ahead of Leicester?
Am I missing something? Clearly still not getting the credit we deserve.

We're much more dangerous if we're flying under the radar and our opponents aren't taking us as seriously as they should do.

These are not markets that the odds compilers would spend much time on as they attract less betting turnover than other betting markets.
Bookmakers are much more likely to make mistakes in these than in say the outright winner market.
West Ham in the w/o 6 market is almost certainly a winner in the book for Powers right now as it is quite a mature market & they will want to 'get' West Ham & lay them @ 10s to balance the book.

To my mind 10/1 is a mistake but it's because they just haven't updated the odds yet after y'day 's win.

Monk-koknee, that may be the case with your independent racecourse bookie but not your 'high street' one, unless it is a particularly sensitive market (which this isn't).

Agreed they have no special insight... in this case they have got it completely wrong (hopefully).

When they do make mistakes you need to capitalise. I've taken the 10/1.

There is a chance that some may expect our form to dip a wee bit post Christmas?

We do have a bit of form..

Bookies odds reflect either the amount of money wagered or are set to entice a punt. They have no special insight.

Re: Baffled
To be fair regarding Leicester, they are better than us, so we would be more likely to go down than them.

Not that we will, of course.

Equally baffling is the Daily Mail player ratings today... 8 for Reid 6's and 7's for everyone else. Yes, I know it serves me right for reading such a rag of a paper.

Bilic said it himself after the Newcastle win - "I don't know if we're going to finish 5th or 15th". Our results on paper just don't make a lot of sense to pundits.
